Glacier Point & Taft Point Elopement

Laura and Julian were high school sweethearts of ten years who decided it was finally time to get married. They thought about planning a big wedding but the thought of it overwhelmed them- so they decided to elope. They wanted something different from their home in Florida. She travels full time for her job so she wanted to see something that “wowed” her. So of course, I recommended that they elope in Yosemite.

They took care of all the legal stuff back in Florida so the elopement could really just be about them being together. We started our day with a hike to Inspiration Point. Looking out into Tunnel View from up there is one of my favorite views in the park. After that, we jumped in their car and headed up to Taft Point. On the way up, we chatted about our favorite podcast “My Favorite Murder” while stuffing our faces with veggie chips. Parked the car and headed for Taft Point.

The hike to Taft isn’t very far, just a few miles of flat walking. Its one of my favorite hikes because there is something new around every corner like running streams of water and some gorgeous redwoods.
